Fear

A broken toy once told me,
That it goes turn by turn.
It's like drowning in a sea,
While the world is burning.
To feel its sting,
Like a bumblebee.
Or like in the spring,
When the wasps hurt me.
It's in the face of danger,
That you turn and run.
When you feel the anger,
Of what you've done.
I know it's there,
Deep inside of me.
When I feel it's stare,
I make like a leaf and leave.
This is fear,
And it's always near.
